In the past, the very international work community has met for strategy and planning days in countries such as Spain, the Czech Republic and Lithuania. This time the destination was Lapland, where none of the company's foreign employees had been before.
– We have employees from about 10 different countries. Most of them live in Finland, but some work completely remotely abroad. We all get together 2-4 times a year. Some of the planning days take place around Helsinki, others we like to take people elsewhere. It's nice to get a chance to air ideas and spend time together in new landscapes.
Afterwards, Levi has emerged as one of the favourite destinations. An absolute highlight was a visit to the atmospheric Sammuntupa with its sauna and reindeer-themed programmes. The team also got to enjoy Lapland culture and traditions, which enriched the experience even more.

Our employees liked it when we finished work early and walked together to the slopes and the ski tracks at the end of the day. A big advantage with a larger group is that you don't have to think about and organise transport all the time.

– During the strategy days, we worked hard. It's important to do something fun and different along the way. It's great when we can get everyone under one roof, spending time together in peace and quiet. In addition to skiing, we tried snowmobiling in Levi, visited a reindeer farm and enjoyed good food. Some of us also went to sing karaoke, a firm tradition. All in all, Levi was a nice mix of everything.
3 – The inspiring exoticism of Lapland
– Participants were awe struck by the overall beauty, nature is so wonderful. For first-timers, Levi is a real winter wonderland, everything is really exotic and different. A visit to Sammuntupa was a nice way to get into the Lapland mood and discover the authentic local atmosphere. We also went to dinner one evening at Saamen Kammi, the joik performance there was really great. Working with modern music technology ourselves, the Sámi way of expressing and singing was really impressive.
