Changes to Outdoor Trails and Traffic Due to Ylläs-Levi Hiihto
Ylläs-Levi Hiihto powered by Fischer will be held as a two-day event for the first time, with the classic style race on Friday, April 4, and the free technique race on Saturday, April 5. The route runs from Ylläsjärvi to Levi, and the event will impact the availability of the ski trail network from Thursday, April 3 to Saturday, April 5.
The ski trail network will be closed to other users starting Thursday, April 3, at 8:00 PM, and Friday, April 4, at 8:00 PM. This measure is taken to ensure that freshly groomed tracks remain in good condition for the race start in the mornings.
For safety reasons, skiing against the race direction is strictly prohibited during the competition. Skiing in the same direction as the race is allowed with extreme caution, but organisers recommend considering alternative routes.
The trail will reopen for public use after the last skiers have passed on both race days.

Traffic Considerations
Kesänkijoentie will be closed between Äkäsentie and Metsäylläksentie at the ski trail crossing point on Friday and Saturday from 9:15 AM to 11:30 AM. Residents of holiday cottages should take this into account and use Metsäylläksentie to reach Nililahentie instead.
Aakenuksentie (Road 9403): A 40 km/h speed limit will be imposed at the ski trail crossing near the Pyhäjärventie intersection. Traffic control will be in place to stop vehicles when skiers are crossing.
55 km Start Location: The starting area at the Äkäslompolojärvi primary school (Koulutie 2) will cause congestion on Tiurajärventie (Road 940 from Äkäslompolo to Muonio) on April 4 and April 5 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
Parking: In Äkäslompolo, parking is available at Ihmisen Rinki (Tunturintie 56) and Ylläs Ski Resort Äkäslompolo parking lot. A free non-stop shuttle service will transport participants to the start area at Äkäslompolo School from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
