Who are you?
I’m Leevi, a friend to children. And a wolverine.
Where are you from?
From the deep wilderness! My cousins avoid humans, but here in Levi, one wolverine fits right in. Well… at least if they like attention!
How did you end up in Levi?
I saw a picture of a majestic wolverine, or kätkä, on the coat of arms of Kittilä. I knew instantly – this was the perfect place for me!
How would you describe yourself?
I’m gentle and kind, and I’d never, ever bully anyone. Some say wolverines are clumsy, but what’s the rush? Usually, there’s no hurry – but sometimes I just feel like running for fun!
Can people come and talk to you?
We wolverines are a quiet bunch, but let’s hug when we meet – deal?
Do you have a special skill?
As a scavenger, I’m a recycling expert! If I see litter, I pick it up and take it to the bin. Will you do the same?
