Welcome to join us in celebrating the 100th anniversary of artist Reidar Särestöniemi! In 2025, a wide range of events will be organised to highlight Särestöniemi's unique art and impressive life's work.
What's coming?
Art exhibitions: Immerse yourself in a colourful world and admire the famous works of Särestöniemi.
Creative workshops: Bring your own artist to life in a variety of workshops.
Concerts and performances: Enjoy the arts at a variety of events where music and the performing arts meet.
The Anniversary Year is open to all art lovers. Join us for unforgettable moments in the arts and be part of the celebrations!
The opening of the Anniversary Year will be celebrated on Friday 24.1. and Saturday 25.1. at his magnificent home in Särestö.
📅 Programme on both days:
At 14.00: Exhibition "So wakes the bear's head for spring" - Anne Koskamo, Museum Director, opens the exhibition and talks about Reidar. Anne Karmakova will open the exhibition and introduce the opening of the exhibition.
At 15.15: Guided tour of Särestö's life and Reidar's art in the old Särestö's inn, studio and gallery (duration 1,5 h).
🎟️ A museum ticket to celebrate the occasion is only €10 (including programme).
