Lovers of the fells:

  • Near the village of Jeesiöjärvi is Kumputunturi, where a snowmobile trail runs in winter. Even in the summer, a climb up the rugged, rocky fells is rewarding - the views from here are stunning and unforgettable.

  • From the village of Sirkka, Levi, you can make a day trip to Kätkätunturi, which offers views in several directions, or spend time skiing on Levitunturi. Aakenustunturi also offers a variety of trails and interesting experiences.

  • Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park and its outdoor activities, such as the Hetta-Pallas hiking trail, can be found in the idyllic village of Raattama.

  • Alakylä and Hanhimaa offer paddlers, hikers and fishermen great adventure conditions with rivers, rapids and lakes.

  • Pöntsö offers natural tranquillity right on the shores of Lake Pöntsöjärvi, a short distance from Levi. Nearby, you will also find the gorge-like and impressive Ruoppaköngäs.

  • Immeljärvi is located in Levi, in the village of Sirkka, where you can sup, fish and swim.

  • For birdwatchers, there is the Karinnokka bird tower in the village of Kittilä, and nearby, the Karinnokka lean-to along the Ounasjoki River for a break.

  • You can easily ski to village of Köngäs from Levi.

  • Near Hanhimaa, you can visit the monument to the first church in Kittilä, the Kirkkokuusikko.

  • The Taatsin Seita in Pokka is an old Sámi sacrifice site. The area, on a rocky pillar rising on the shore of Lake Taatsijärvi, was once one of Lapland's most magnificent places of worship and sacrifice.
