Levi's Sammuntupa and reindeer farm
Come and experience a 19th century culturally rich reindeer farm that has become a favorite stop and a must do for so many people.
We served our first coffees to skiers in 1982! At that time the skiing tracks were made by Sammuntupa's owners. Sammuntupa is though one of the oldest cross-country cafes and program providers in Levi.
With such a long experience behind us, we at Sammuntupa still provide nowadays our best service for everybody, and you can reach us by skis, snowmobile, bike or by car. Our village consists of the Lappish café Sammun-Tupa open to everyone; the main house Eemelin Pirtti for private dinners and small parties and Poropirtti, that works as a museum and it´s a good place for private dinners too. Our traditional sauna, smoke sauna and panorama-sauna also welcome you to our farm, with the option to try dipping in the icy water of Ounasjoki river - before and after your sauna.
As experienced reindeer herders, we will be able to tell you about our life and the life of our beloved animals. Come and join any of the reindeer programs we offer!
Our reindeer farm is also an ideal place for weddings, birthday parties and other events. Smaller or bigger groups are all welcome!
